Azerbaijan resumes pomegranate exports to Turkmenistan

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan exported 29,359 tons of pomegranates, valued at $25.77 million, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period in 2023, the exports grew by 16 percent in volume, while dropping by 6 percent in value.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan supplied pomegranates:
- To Russia 25,405 tons (+18%) worth $22.64 million (-8%);
- To Ukraine 1,399 tons (-13%) worth $1.37 million (-3%);
- To Georgia 1,540 tons (+5%) worth $918,000 (+18%);
- To Kazakhstan 597 tons (+78%) worth $461,000 (+77%);
- To Belarus 225 tons (-31%) worth $190,000 (-41%).
Azerbaijan has resumed supplies to Turkmenistan (17.1 tons worth $16,000) after a 2-year and 10-month break.
