Azerbaijan represented at FAO interregional policy dialogue

Azerbaijan was represented at the interregional policy dialogue of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on greening agrifood systems.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, cited by Report, the event was held in Budapest on September 15–16 under the joint organization of the FAO Regional Offices for Europe and Central Asia and for the Near East and North Africa under the theme "Integrated Policy Approach to Greening Agrifood Systems."

Head of the Ministry's Office Azad Jafarli and Director of the Agricultural Research Center Rashad Huseynov participated in the event.

During the two-day dialogue, participants exchanged views on the transition to green agriculture, policy coordination, the implementation of innovative solutions, monitoring and evaluation, financing, and regional cooperation.

As part of the event, a field visit was organized to Kozard, Hungary. During the visit, participants familiarized themselves with practical examples of multifunctional landscapes and regenerative socio-ecological systems.
