Azerbaijan begins exporting grapes to Qatar

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan exported 5,754 tons of grapes (fresh), valued at $5.62 million, down 37% in volume and 30% in value year-on-year, Report informs, referring to the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, the top export destinations included:
- Russia: 5,143 tons (-38%) worth $5 million (-32%);
- Belarus: 406 tons (+4.2 times) worth $463,000 (+3.9 times);
- Türkiye: 126 tons worth $69,200 (no supply a year ago);
- Iraq: 43 tons (+34%) worth $32,300 (+33%);
- United Arab Emirates: 20.1 tons (-51%) worth $26,100 (+4%).
In 2024, Azerbaijan exported grapes to Qatar (8.8 tons worth $9,410) for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
