Azerbaijan and Moldova have identified several promising areas for expanding economic ties, with a focus on agriculture, food industry, tourism, and international cargo transportation, alongside energy, Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov, said on Friday in Baku during the Azerbaijani-Moldovan Business Forum.
Report quotes him as saying the strong political and economic relations between the two countries, developed over more than 30 years of diplomatic ties, provide a solid foundation for achieving new milestones.
"Azerbaijan and Moldova are friendly nations and reliable partners. It's time to elevate these relations to a new level and intensify the dialogue," said the minister.
Mammadov also mentioned that during the intergovernmental commission meeting, detailed discussions were held on prospects for cooperation in trade, energy, agriculture, tourism, and education.
He emphasized that the business forum provides a favorable platform for entrepreneurs to learn about the investment climate and opportunities for establishing business connections, but pointed out that the current level of interaction in these areas remains insufficient.
