Action plans will be developed for each district of Azerbaijan to implement the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture for 2026–2030, said Khalid Ahadov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on Socio-Economic issues, according to Report's correspondent in Bilasuvar.
Speaking at a regional meeting on the Shirvan–Salyan economic region within the framework of the State Program, the official noted that local executive authorities, together with relevant agencies, must define targets and indicators for the agrarian sector and prepare socio-economic development programs for each district for 2026–2030.
"Based on the overall state program, each district should form its own 'mini-programs' aligned with the strategy," Ahadov said.
He emphasized that the total funding for the program amounts to 5.9 billion manats (just over $3.47 billion), of which 2.2 billion manats (approximately $1.3 billion) will be provided by the state, while 3.7 billion manats (nearly $2.2 billion) will come from the private sector and individual farms.
"It is necessary to strengthen incentive and awareness measures so that entrepreneurs actively engage in the process and invest," the presidential aide added.
