Baku. 27 January. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism and Management (AITM) and the Italian Dante Alighieri Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Report informs, document was signed by chairman of the Dante Alighieri Society in Azerbaijan Gulnara Aslanbeyli and rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism and Management Jafar Jafarov.
Italian Ambassador to Baku Giampaolo Cutillo hailed the signing of the document as the beginning of a new stage of development of relations between universities of two countries.
"Tourism is a sector of economy, we have values to share with each other," said the diplomat.
According to him, Azerbaijan has done a great job to promote its tourism potential and made progress in this direction.
"I think that, in next future tourism will be an important part of the Azerbaijani economy," said the Ambassador.
Besides this, G.Cutillo said, in Azerbaijan has a growing interest in Italian language. "This is due to the fact that our two countries are improving economic ties, business communication, develop relations in the field of tourism. We want to help increase the Azerbaijani presence in Italy", he stressed.
In turn, the rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism and Management Jafar Jafarov noted that, they are currently discussing the possibility of providing practical training for Azerbaijani students in Italian hotels. The memorandum provides for the opening of the Italian language courses in AITM on February, 2015.
