Azerbaijan to greatly increase social spending by 2026

Expenditures of Azerbaijan’s state budget for the sphere of social protection and security in 2022 will amount to 3.584 billion manats, Report informs referring to the Finance Ministry.
A significant increase in this category of expenditure is expected over the next few years. In 2023, some 3.831 billion manats will be allocated for social protection and security, 3.967 billion manats in 2024, and 4.136 billion manats in 2025.
Thus, the share of the social sphere in Azerbaijan’s state budget expenditures will grow from 12.37 percent in 2022 to 14.4 percent in 2025.
