The actions of official Yerevan led to the impossibility of implementing a number of clauses of the tripartite statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia dated November 10, 2020, Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, according to Report.
"We cannot but note a number of actions by Yerevan, due to which it was not possible to fully implement the trilateral agreements. The Armenian side's use of the Lachin corridor for arms supplies to Karabakh in violation of trilateral agreements and Yerevan's unwillingness to ensure the complete withdrawal of Armenian armed units from the region had a negative effect, which largely led to clashes in September 2023," Zakharova noted.
She noted that on the issue of unblocking transport communications, it was Yerevan that did everything to 'freeze' the achievement of specific agreements through the Tripartite Working Group, co-chaired by the vice-premiers.
"In particular, for many months the Armenian side has been blocking the start of work to restore railway communication between Azerbaijan and Armenia, refusing to comply with the provisions of Paragraph 9 of the high-level statement of November 10, 2020," Zakharova said.
