Trial of 36 Istanbul terror suspects to begin in May

The trial of 36 suspects, including Ahlam Albashir, who participated in organizing the terror attack on Taksim Square in Istanbul, will begin on May 9, Report informs referring to Hürriyet newspaper.

The prosecutor demanded punishment for the female terrorist Albashir, who planted the bomb, from 1,949 years 6 months to 3,009 years in prison (seven life terms).

As a result of the explosion on November 13 on Istiklal Street in Istanbul, 6 people were killed and more than 80 were injured. Albashir, during interrogation, stated that she joined the terrorist group YPG in 2017.
