Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council blames Russia for latest events on border

The European observer mission does not have access to Nerkin And, where the latest incident took place; only the Russian side has access there, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan told journalists, Report informs referring to Armenian media.

“The EU mission did not have access there, and only Russia has this access, it is present there. And Russia could not prevent the incident... The EU mission plays a stabilizing role, we fully support it,” he noted.

Earlier today, the head of the mission in Armenia, Markus Ritter, also stated that observers can visit the entire territory of Armenia, except for the territory of Nerkin-And, which is in the zone of responsibility of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
