Rosatom сhief thanks Azerbaijan for assisting in evacuation of workers from Iranian nuclear plant

Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its assistance in evacuating part of the corporation’s personnel from the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran, where they had been on a business trip.

According to Report, citing Russian media, Likhachev made the remarks to journalists on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"Some of the people who were at the Bushehr NPP on assignment have already been evacuated. We thank Azerbaijan and Armenia [for their assistance in the evacuation] — via different routes, but with a positive outcome," he said.
