The United States is asking Belarus to expand its embassy staff in Minsk, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in a short interview with the Rossiya TV channel on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Leningrad Oblast of the Russian Federation, Report informs via BelTA.
Commenting on the updated travel recommendations of the US government who urged their citizens not to go to Belarus and immediately leave the country, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus is unconcerned about this.
“We have practically no Americans. But for your information, they have been asking us to increase the staff of the embassy for a year already. Therefore, the things you said are new to me. But we do not keep anyone in Belarus. They can stay with us or they can leave; it is up to them. But there are 0.2 of them,” the president said.
