The US may demand Armenia to impose sanctions against Russia as part of the strategic cooperation, the signing of which was announced today by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, Report informs via Russian media.
"The main thing that follows from this decision: In our various treaties, we also used the terminology 'strategic partnership,' but we were never forced to act against a third country. [They say] we are strategic partners, so you must join the sanctions [against Russia]. This is what they are now demanding from Serbia. And they will demand it from Armenia," he said.
In his opinion, the US and its allies have made sanctions policy the foundation of their actions in the international arena.
