Kobakhidze: Over 450 NGOs in register of foreign agents

More than 450 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have registered in the Georgian registry based on the law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence," Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at a briefing, Report informs referring to Georgian media.

"More than 450 non-governmental organizations, that is, a significant part of organizations working with foreign funding, have applied to the Ministry of Justice of Georgia," he said.

He added that the NGOs were registered against the backdrop of pressure and blackmail from certain foreign donor organizations.
