Kazakhstan is interested in the unblocking of communications in the South Caucasus, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel, told reporters, Report informs.
According to him, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia must come to fruitful cooperation: “This is important for us, for the countries of Central Asia. And for there to be peace in the region.”
The ambassador emphasized that now it is not necessary to build barriers and obstacles in the region, but rather to open as many communications and routes as possible.
“In general, Central Asia does not have access to the world’s oceans or seas, so diversification of all transport and logistics routes is important for us. We are working on the development of the Middle Corridor and are also working along the North-South corridor, just like Azerbaijan. We transport, export our products in Chinese direction, and the route to Pakistan is also being worked out. All routes are important for us," Bayel said.
