Death toll from Turkey avalanche reaches 21

Nine Turkish citizens are in critical condition as rescuers continue the search for those trapped in the snow slide in Turkey's Van.
Report informs, citing DHA, that according to Van governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez, the death toll from the avalanche has reached 21 people.
He said the second avalanche claimed 12 lives, including eight police officers, three security guards, and one firefighter. "We do not have information about how many people remain trapped under the snow," the governor said.

Around 50 people are feared buried under the snow following an avalanche that occurred in Van province of Eastern Turkey.
Report informs, citing Van governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez, that rescue operations are underway to save those left under the snowpack.
