Date for SCO summit in China announced

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit will take place on August 31 - September 1 in Tianjin, China, said the assistant to the President of Russia, Yuri Ushakov, Report informs via Russian media.
The declaration on the establishment of the SCO was signed in Shanghai in June 2001 by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan has the status of a dialogue partner in the organization but has declared its intention to upgrade its status to an observer country.
The previous SCO summit was held in July 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
