Bidzina Ivanishvili returns to politics

Former prime minister, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, was elected honorary chairman at the congress of the ruling Georgian Dream—Democratic Georgia party, Report informs via the Georgian press.

As reported, Ivanishvili, who finished his political activities at the beginning of 2021, is returning to politics.

"Three years ago, I informed society about my decision to leave active political processes. Now, on my own initiative, I am returning to political life as the honorary chairman of the party," he said in a statement.
