Armenia detains 7 more terrorism suspects

The Armenian Investigation Committee said 7 more individuals suspected of terrorism were detained, Report informs via the local press.

"Seven people have been detained over plotting a terrorist act, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition," the local press outlets say.

According to media reports, all those detained are members of the opposition Dashnaktsutyun party.

The National Security Service of Armenia has detained the son of Gegham Manukyan, a member of parliament from the "Armenia" faction and a member of the Dashnaktsutyun party, Report informs via the local press.

Searches were conducted at his home since the morning hours.

Law enforcement agencies have also confiscated the parliamentarian's own phone.

In addition, according to information from Arthur Khachatryan, a deputy of the "Armenia" faction, several representatives of the youth wing of the Dashnaktsutyun party were also detained and taken to the Yerevan Investigation Department.
