As a result of the protest at the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul, 63 people were injured, including 43 police officers. One of the protesters died after being hospitalized due to a heart attack, the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Report informs via Turkish media, that the rally was held in support of Palestine after the attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip. Police used tear gas to disperse the protesters.

The Istanbul administration reported that a group of Turkish citizens gathered in front of the Israeli Consulate General. Protesters threw stones, sticks and fireworks at the police, and damaged the consulate building and the buildings surrounding it.

Five people who crossed the police cordon and attacked law enforcement officers were detained.

"We urge our citizens who wish to respond to Israeli bombing of civilians, which resemble terrorist attacks, to avoid irreparable actions," the administration stressed.
