Eighteen flights are delayed due to a fire at Kazakhstan’s Astana International Airport, Report informs via Kazakh media.
The exact departure time of the delayed flights is unknown.
The airport press service promised to provide additional information after the situation has been resolved.
On February 27 at 07:50 (GMT+6) a fire broke out at the switching center of Astana International Airport. At 08:24 the fire was completely localized. Due to heavy smoke, while the fire was being extinguished, all passengers in the airport terminal were evacuated to safety.
