US, UK once again imposing sanctions against Hamas officials

The US has imposed new sanctions against senior functionaries of the radical Hamas movement, Report informs referring to the US Department of the Treasury.

This is the third round of sanctions imposed on Hamas since the October 7 attack on southern Israel.

Sanctions are being introduced against key Hamas officials and the mechanisms through which Iran provides support to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, according to the statement.

At the same time as the US, the UK is introducing new sanctions against the movement.

Among the new persons on the sanctions list is one of the founders of Hamas, former head of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry Mahmoud al-Zahar.
