US signs contracts worth $730 million for modernization of Stinger

The Pentagon has signed two contracts totaling more than $730 million with US military-industrial companies Raytheon and Lockheed Martin for the modernization and replacement of the Stinger portable air defense system (MANPADS), Report informs citing the Pentagon.
The cost of the agreement with Raytheon for the upgrade and replacement of Stinger missiles was $418.3 million. The work will be carried out in Tucson, Arizona, and will be completed on March 12, 2028.
The contract amount with Lockheed Martin is $311.9 million and the work will continue until June 2028.
