US Department of State Inspector General Diana Shaw is launching a probe into President Joe Biden's diplomatic efforts in Afghanistan, Report informs, citing Politico.
The investigation is related to the recent withdrawal of the US military from the country. According to media reports, the State Department will focus on the program for issuing special immigration visas, the resettlement of Afghan refugees, and the evacuation of American personnel and Afghan collaborators from Kabul.
According to Politico, Shaw has already notified Congress of the move. In particular, she said that her office is launching 'several oversight projects' on this issue.
