US ambassador to Israel: 'Preparing to evacuate our citizens'

The US is preparing to evacuate its citizens from Israel, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said in a post on social media, according to Report.

"We are working to involve military, commercial, charter flights and cruise ships in the evacuation," he said.

He noted that Americans wishing to leave Israel must register with the US State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program in order to be included in the relevant list.

The ambassador also recommended that US citizens in Israel stay close to shelters and not ignore air raid warnings.
