Europe must fight for its freedom to shape its future in an unstable world, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said during her speech in the European Parliament (EP), Report informs.
“We must invest in our prosperity and security. And stay united and true to our values. My team and I will strive for this every single day. Starting from the very first day.
Our first major initiative will be a Competitiveness Compass. Building on the 3 pillars of the Draghi report. Innovation, decarbonization, security. Everyone in the team will contribute. Starting by unlocking the financing needed for the green, digital, and social transition,” von der Leyen stated.
