UN Security Council to hold emergency meeting due to deteriorating situation in Gaza Strip

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on November 6 to discuss the latest events in the Gaza Strip. The initiators of the meeting were the UAE and China, Report informs referring to the UAE representation in the UN Security Council.
In light of the deteriorating situation in Gaza and the attack on Al Shifa Hospital, repeated attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp, the UAE and China have called for closed consultations on November 6, at 15:00.
The UN Security Council previously met three times on the situation in the Middle East, but was unable to adopt a corresponding resolution. The UN General Assembly succeeded in adopting a ceasefire resolution.
