Ukrainian village turned into ruins after series of explosions

In the village of Berezina in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, not far from the border with Belarus, a series of explosions occurred without preliminary warning signals, which destroyed most of the settlement.

Report's correspondent visited the site and spoke with residents.

According to local residents Volodymyr Yontenko and Larisa Havrilyuk, the explosions happened unexpectedly and without sirens:

"The village turned into ruins, everything was enveloped in flames and smoke," they said.

It is assumed that the attack could have been carried out by sabotage groups targeting a nearby factory. As a result of the explosions, according to preliminary data, 5 people were killed and 30 others were injured. Most of the houses, as well as the communication system, were destroyed.
