Three peacekeepers wounded in attack on UNIFIL post in southern Lebanon

A monitoring post of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon came under fire in the border area of El Adeisa, leaving three peacekeepers wounded.
Report cites UNIFIL spokesperson Candice Ardell, who said all the injured were taken to hospital, with two reported in serious condition.
Ardell said the command is investigating the circumstances of the incident, including the source of the fire directed at the "blue helmets."
"UNIFIL reminds all parties of their obligations to ensure the safety of peacekeepers in southern Lebanon. Combat activities must be avoided near UN positions, as they pose a direct threat," she said.
