Hungary and Serbia have agreed to accelerate joint investments in strengthening energy security, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto wrote on Facebook following a phone conversation with Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic, Report informs.
Szijjarto noted that Serbia is a partner of strategic importance for Hungary and 'without Serbia there is no Hungarian energy security - and vice versa.'
"We agreed with Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic to accelerate our joint investments in energy and energy security, including the creation of a new electrical connection between the power grids of the two countries and the construction of the first joint oil pipeline," said the Hungarian foreign minister.
