Sweden stands by agreement with Turkiye, says PM

"We stand by the agreement with Turkiye," Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson told SVD newspaper, Report informs.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Turkiye had extradition requests before. "Of course, whatever is in agreement will be done. Turkiye has made extradition requests before, and we have dealt with them. Sometimes we have deported, but not many times. We absolutely stand behind the agreement."
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the memorandum of understanding signed with Sweden is a beginning, an invitation. The Turkish leader stressed that Sweden and Finland must fulfil their obligations first.
