Swedish authorities forcibly expelled 26 Iraqi citizens, Sveriges Radio said, Report informs via TASS.
Sources say that the plane with the deportees took off for Baghdad in the morning. Prison service and police officers are also on board.
This is the first case of forced deportation from Sweden to Iraq since 2012. Previously, Baghdad refused to accept people expelled from the kingdom.
Lawyer Majid Alnashi, who is representing several of the migrants on board the plane, insists authorities in both countries must now explain what exactly is behind the forced deportations and why Iraq has changed its position on the issue.
