Russian MFA: NATO bases in Ukraine would be legitimate target for Russia

If NATO bases appear on Ukrainian territory, they will become a legitimate target for Russia, Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko said in an interview with Russian media, Report informs.

“These bases will burn. There [on the territory of Ukraine] was already the Yavorovsky training ground, where NATO trained troops. That's all. This is a completely legitimate target,” said the diplomat, answering a question about how Russia would react if the North Atlantic Alliance listened to Kyiv’s requests to resume training in Ukraine and the deployment of repair bases there.
