Rep of Party for Liberation of Martinique: France has negative impact on many areas

“France has a negative impact on many areas of our lives,” representative of Le Parti pour la libération de la Martinique (the Party for the Liberation of Martinique, PALIMA), Luc Francis Carole, said at the international conference “Neo-colonialism: violation of human rights and injustice”, organized by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), Report informs.

"The policy of colonialism greatly affects our economy. All our agricultural products are sent to France. It also affects our culture today. We ask that our language be equal to French, and we want to communicate in our own language. Our organization, like many others, is fighting to put an end to this injustice. France must know that it has had a profound impact on our lives," he noted.

He called for all rights to be respected for Martinique so that it "can develop independently of outside influence."

An international conference on "Neocolonialism: violation of human rights and injustice" is being held in Baku.

The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) was created on July 6, 2023, in Baku by participants in the Complete Elimination of Colonialism conference within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement chaired by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

BIG supports the struggle for the freedom of peoples in various regions of the world still suffering from colonization in the 21st century.
