Nearly 80 IS militants surrender to Taliban in Afghanistan

At least 80 radicals from the Islamic State terrorist group have surrendered to the Taliban security forces in the eastern province of Nangarhar, Report informs, citing TASS.
The surrender of the terrorists was made possible through the mediation of tribal elders. However, no further details are provided.
Over the past three months, some provinces in Afghanistan, including the capital city, have been hit by several explosions, armed attacks, and shootings, in which both the Taliban representatives and locals died. The Islamic State in Khorasan, an offshoot of IS, claimed responsibility for some of these incidents.
