Miner missing as coal mine gets flooded with groundwater in Russia’s Vorkuta

A miner is missing as a coal mine got partially flooded in Vorkuta, the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s department in northwestern Russia’s Komi Republic said, Report informs referring to TASS.
As many as 60 miners were working at the Zapolyarnaya mine operated by Vorkutaugol at a depth of 600 meters below the surface when it got flooded with groundwater, while there were three people at the emergency site.
Out of those three miners, one is missing, and another one was injured, the department said in a statement.
