Germany soon to begin airlifting aid to Gaza Strip

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius signed an order to begin an operation to deliver humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip by air, Report informs via TASS.
According to the DPA agency, C130 transport aircraft stationed in France will drop cargo from the air. The operation will begin at the end of the week.
Germany has also previously expressed its readiness to take part in the work of the maritime humanitarian corridor.
On March 7, US President Joe Biden announced that Washington was creating a temporary port in the Gaza Strip to supply humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave by sea. Earlier, a high-ranking US administration official told reporters that humanitarian aid supplies to Gaza would be carried out by sea through Cyprus.
