France, Germany to continue to work on creating joint MGCS tank

Germany and France will continue to develop the tank as part of the Main Ground Combat System (MGCS), Minister of the French Armed Forces Sebastien Lecornu and Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany Boris Pistorius said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“Yes, there is a European project to develop a modern tank [of Germany, Spain, Italy and Sweden]. However, this project was not started by states, but by private companies from the defense industry,” Pistorius said. “We do not consider this project as an alternative to the MGCS. With Sebastien Lecornu, we are committed to continuing the MGCS project and laying the foundations of one of the most modern armored systems in the world.”
