Food prices reach 30-year maximum in Spain

According to data from Spain's National Statistics Institute published on Friday, prices on food and non-alcoholic beverage in the country rose by 10.1% in April compared to the same period last year.
Report informs, citing TASS, that the growth in prices on foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages made 10.1% due to the overall increase in prices on most of their components, including prices on meat, bread, cereals, beans, vegetables and milk, cheese, and eggs, which are higher than in April last year.
According to 20minutos, the figure has been the highest since 1994.
The inflation rate in Spain made 8.3% last month. The figure reached the 37-year high in March, making up 9.8%.
