First plane leaves for Niger to evacuate French citizens

France has sent the first plane to evacuate its citizens from Niger, Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said, Report informs referring to TASS.
The first plane is on its way to Niger, Colonna said, adding that they are in contact with the local authorities, but this doesn’t mean recognition of the rebellion.
The evacuation will cover 700 French and about 800 citizens of other EU countries.
