Elections to Austria’s National Council to take place on September 29

The next elections to the National Council (lower house of parliament) of Austria will be held on September 29, Federal Chancellor of the Republic Karl Nehammer told ORF TV channel, Report informs referring to TASS.
Nehammer represents the ruling Austrian People’s Party (AP), while Kogler represents its coalition partner, the Greens.
According to opinion poll data from February 7, published by the Austrian Press Agency, the ANP (21.9%) and the Greens (8.3%) have a combined support of 30.2% of voters. The most popular political force in the country is the Austrian Freedom Party; 27.7% of Austrians are ready to vote for it.
