Egypt proposes setting up refugee camps in Rafah

Egypt has proposed creating camps for refugees from the Gaza Strip in the village of Rafah, Report informs via Al Araby Al Jadeed newspaper.
According to sources, the camps will be located 3 km from the border with Egypt, and their activities will be controlled from Cairo. Egyptian authorities plan to provide urgent assistance to displaced people fleeing the northern Gaza Strip in the Palestinian territory arriving in camps, as they strongly oppose sending Gaza refugees to the Sinai Peninsula.
At the same time, sources emphasize that refugees in serious condition will be evacuated to Egyptian hospitals to provide them with quality medical care. There have been no official comments from Cairo on this issue yet.
