Activist: French intelligence intensifies pressure on anti-colonialists, but the struggle will continue

French intelligence has increased pressure on opponents of its colonial policy in Africa, renowned activist Kemi Seba, one of the main critics of French neocolonialism, said at a briefing for representatives of Azerbaijani media.

"French intelligence has been constantly monitoring us. When they realized that their pressure was useless, the repression intensified. They even introduced a policy of revoking our citizenship as part of this strategy," Seba noted.

According to the activist, France is only favorable towards Africans who play football or are musicians. Those who express independent views are persecuted.

"The French government doesn't like Africans who freely express their thoughts. I've been persecuted since my youth - starting from 2005-2006. In recent years, with the intensification of our anti-colonial struggle, the pressure has increased. At first, France attacked us through their puppet presidents on the ground, as they were afraid of us, now such pressure is carried out everywhere," Seba emphasized.

But, the activist added, despite the repression, the fight against French colonialism will continue.

"The system we have built during this time has become a zone of resistance to colonialism. Our struggle is not over, we will continue to move forward," he stated.
