Emergency ministry official: Armenians used prohibited methods in mining

The demining actions in the liberated territories revealed that Armenians observed no rules in mining and used prohibited ways when mining the areas, Sabuhi Sariyev, commander of the special-purpose division of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), told reporters, according to Report's Karabakh bureau.

He said the thorough cleaning of territories is underway despite hindrances.

"The enemy did not observe any standards and norms in mining and used prohibited methods. Therefore, the territories are strongly polluted with mines. But despite that the mining process continues at a full pace."

The division commander announced that the mine-polluted areas are being cleared in the interaction with the employees of the respective structures.

"On par with that, the construction works continue at a high pace in the liberated territories. Our state is doing everything possible for our displaced persons who had to flee their ancestral lands 30 years ago to live in complete safety," he said.
