Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan discussed increasing freight transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), Report informs.
This was discussed during the meeting between the Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Railways Talgat Aldybergenov and the management of Azerbaijan Railways on the sidelines of the first day of the XII Congress of the International Union of Railways (UIC), taking place in Beijing.
The parties paid special attention to the digitalization and automation of the TITR route, which will accelerate and simplify logistics processes. They also discussed measures to integrate the information systems of the railways of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to improve transportation efficiency.
