Baku metro hosts 'Urbicide in Karabakh' photo exhibition

The photo exhibition "Urbicide in Karabakh" has started in the passageways of the Baku Metro "Nariman Narimanov" station, Report informs.

About 90 photos of Azerbaijani cities and villages destroyed by Armenian vandals in Karabakh, as well as Azerbaijan's historical, cultural, and religious monuments, were placed in the exhibition jointly organized by Baku Metropolitan CJSC and the Karabakh Revival Foundation.

The photo exhibition organized on the basis of the materials of the "Karabakh.Center" internet resource created by the Karabakh Revival Foundation at the initiative of its first vice-president, Mehriban Aliyeva, allows the passengers of the metro to get acquainted with the extent of damage to the material and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people in Karabakh, biodiversity and natural resources of the region during the 30-year occupation period, based on specific examples.

Each photo presented within the framework of the six-month exhibition shows the current and pre-occupation state of the monuments. Through the QR codes placed on the pictures, it is possible to view more detailed information, as well as to make a donation for the reconstruction of Karabakh.
