Azerbaijan's internet speed rating announced

Azerbaijan ranks 66th out of 139 countries globally in terms of mobile internet speed, Report mentions, referring to the rating of Speedtest Global Index for November.

Our country is 117th out of 176 countries in terms of stable internet speed.

Over the past 12 months, the speed of downloading from the mobile Internet in Azerbaijan has increased from 30.26 Mb / s to 31.45 Mb / s. The download rate of fixed internet rose from 21.20 Mb / s to 23.04 Mb / s.

According to the Speedtest Global Index, however, in November, Azerbaijan ranked 66th in mobile internet speed, down one point year-on-year. In terms of fixed internet speed, it moved up 13 places to 117th.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), South Korea, and Qatar are in the top three countries with the fastest internet in the world. The mobile internet speed in the UAE was 170.30 Mb / s, South Korea 166.70 Mb / s, and Qatar 159.66 Mb / s.

The fastest fixed internet is in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand. It is possible to connect at 241.10 Mb / s via a landline phone in Singapore. The fixed-rate in Hong Kong is 222.92 Mb / s, and in Thailand - 213.14 Mb / s.

The weakest mobile internet in the world is in Afghanistan, Venezuela, and Palestine. Thus, Afghanistan was 6.31 Mb / s, Venezuela - 7.15 Mb / s, and Palestine - 7.40 Mb / s. Turkmenistan (3.47 Mb / s), Yemen (4.52 Mb / s), and Algeria (4.99 Mb / s) are the last in terms of fixed internet speed for landlines.
