WHO: COVID-related deaths down to lowest level since start of pandemic

Coronavirus-related deaths are down to some of the lowest levels since the start of the pandemic, Spokesman of the World Health Organization Tarik Jasarevic told Report.
With such intense transmission worldwide, further variants, including recombinants, are expected to emerge, he said.
"WHO's target remains to vaccinate 70% of the population of every country by the middle of this year, with priority given to health workers, older people, and other at-risk groups," Jasarevic said.
