Moderna begins COVID vaccine trials among children under 12

The US company Moderna has started a new phase of its coronavirus vaccine trials, Report informs with reference to Interfax.
At this stage, the drug’s effectiveness will be tested on children aged from six months to 12 years.
The first trial participants aged six months to 12 years have received a dose of the jab.
The company says that the clinical trials in this age group will be carried out among “healthy children in the US and Canada.”
During this stage, the specialists intend to “assess the safety, tolerability, reactogenicity, and efficacy of two doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine, which are administered with 28 days interval.
