Global COVID tally nears 618M

The number of people infected with coronavirus worldwide has exceeded 617.8 million, Report informs, citing John Hopkins University.

The global COVID death toll has passed 6.546 million.

Countries with more than 30 million registered cases of infections include the United States, India, Brazil, France and Germany.
